AIA
started out in Malaysia in 1948, and after more than four decades of solid
growth, has evolved into a 22-branch network.
Our efforts in the late 1980s successfully linked our branches and regional head
office in an information network that allows us to provide online support, in
real time, to both our policyholders and our representatives. AIA was also one
of the first insurer to fully computerize in Malaysia.
These two examples are part of our continuing efforts to improve our efficiency
and cost-effectiveness. We do this so that we can pass the benefits on to you,
in the form of lower premiums, higher returns, prompter service and better
support.
And while we look for ways to incorporate technology and automation in our
